When I was at my fattest, when I only had one dress to wear in mid-December a summer dress with an elastic waist and a flouncy, expandable skirtI realized that my apparently insane eating was trying to get my attention. I dare say most of us are emotional eaters to some degree, but not to the degre I often eat when I am bored or eat just for the pleasure of it. This book is filled with breqking and is worth reading many times– when I’m able to break the cycle of emotional eating based on this book, I’ll change my rating to 5 stars.
This is a big, beautiful, and important book. One’s relationship with food can be very unhealthy, and some people don’t realize that one’s relationship with food is symptomatic of a bigger condition or environment. What happens to you when you feel yourself getting hungry? Every last ounce of it.
At least I have not gained it all, and have an appointment. When I am pursuing my dreams and enjoying life it finally fades into the background.
